I came home from work this evening and it was as though nothing ever happened. As soon as he heard me, he started crying until I went down to the barn to feed and love him. He seems fine now. Thanks again! Tina

He is doing better, but still not 100% himself. He did eat some feed & browse and drank water. A little more energetic but still a little listless. He is not constantly regurgitating & chewing like earlier. I will give an update tomorrow. Thanks again! Tina

Pepto bismol will help sooth the gut, give the child's dose. A probiotic would help too and B Complex (follow the bottle dosage). Pretty much that's it. There is a good homemade remedy on the articles page under Potions (I think) but the time for this has pretty much passed. It just has to work out of his system and his gut has to return to normal. He is old enough to wean from a bottle, but if you haven't dewormed him do so when he is feeling better in a week or so. I start deworming at 6 to 8 weeks. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

My 13 week old pygmy mix kid became sick yesterday 7/7around 5pm. He was frothing at the mouth, vomited, continuously bringing up cud & chewing/grinding teeth, & listless. I immediately called my vet, she said to give him 60cc mineral oil to coat the lining of the intestines & help the possible poisonous plant/toxins pass through & decrease the absortion by the intestines. Not sure of the plant but it may be rhododendron. She said there wasn't much else that could be done for poisoning. He seemed to be feeling a little better by 11pm. His temperature was 101.4, he is urinating fine, drinking some water, pooped a few times, but still today listless, continuously bringing up cud & chewing, & not eating. He was a bottle baby who recently stopped wanting his bottle, so I tried to give him gatorade in a bottle, then formula in a bottle. He wouldn't take either. I did give him about 60cc gatorade with a syringe. Is there anything else I can do for him? Thanks Tina Tina
