Poor hooves can be caused by a zinc and copper deficiency. Also check for foot rot and treat if needed. You can give oxytet (LA 200) at 1 cc per 30 pounds by SQ injection once a day every other day for 3 treatments. Kopertox or a strong bleach solution (2-3 tablespoons per pint of water) or iodine can be used on the hooves. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic | ||

my best buck has splits running up his hooves and he can hardly walk we did all the clipping and trimming a month ago and this started? its like his hooves are splitting apart you can tell it hurts him when he walks |
