Relief should be nearly immediate if his problem is simple bloat. Some other diseases and conditions can mimic bloat, such as enterotoxemia and urinary stones. Does he have a fever? Is he pulling his head around to one side? Can he urinate? Has he pooped? Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic | ||

He has had cdt but is due this week for 2nd round. gave him 4ccs vegetable oil drench about 1/2 hour ago how long til tou think it may help him? | ||

Give vegetable oil about 1 to 2 tablespoons, this works alot better for bloat than baking soda. Then hold him with his front end higher than his rear and deeply massage his abdomen especially the left side to help him burp. He may have enterotoxemia by now from his digestive system not moving. Give 1 cc penicillin orally and 1 cc penicillin per 15 pounds by SQ injection twice a day. Give CD antitoxin at the therapeutic dose (consult bottle). Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic | ||

I have a 3 mon old wether who is off bottle for 4 days. Today is very bloated not moving around alot prefers to lie down. took sips of baking soda water gave 2 cc pepto bismal and left him alone for an hour came back to him now he is weak can't stamd for only a few minutes cave him 4 ccs baking soda and warm water with syringe Please help!!!!!!!! |
