Always try to be sure a kid has passed all of the first black tarry feces between 12 and 24 hours old. The next feces should be very yellow, this will mean that the milk is making it all the way through. You can use a Fleet's Infant Enema, or a syringe with a tiny tip and give a 5 to 10 cc warm water enema to help a kid pass these feces. If they don't pass them the kid will become toxic, quit eating become dehydrated and die. Hope he picks back up after having a nice poop! |

He was born Sunday, his twin died yesterday( very small and weak). This one seemed to be doing well until today. We thought it was just feces hanging out, but it's not. Can we push it back in? We are the ones that have had all the late term abortions (treating for chlamydia) Thanks for your help. |
