What do you think her chances of survival are at this rate. She has every disease I've ever heard plus ones I haven't. I'm leaving in 4 days for a trip that will last 4 days. As where I have confidence in myself to cater to her I know others won't while I'm away. Any way she may at least be able to be moved outside and start eating normally within my 4 day window? I know it's iffy and no one can really tell and it's probably highly doubtful right? Cindy

This is a classic sign of polio called nystagmus. It is a sign of neurolgical disease. Treat with Fortified B Complex at 1 cc per 20 pounds (be generous) by SQ injection every 2 hours for the first 12 hours or so, then every 4 hours for another day. You can then give it 2 to 3 times a a day for another week. Her digestive microbes usually make all the thiamin she needs, but worms, cocci, and being on antibiotic therapy and deworming and cocci treatments as well a a change in diet destroy the good microbes with the bad. Give a probiotic daily for the next several weeks as she hopefully recovers. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

My really sick bottle baby that I wrote in about yesterday has something really weird going on. I went home to feed her and I was looking at her straight on and noticed her eyeballs seemed to be pulsing in and out with her heart beat. Any ideas? Is it possibly encephalitis. She is so week she doesn't stand right now so I really have nothing else to go by. Let me know what you think. Thanks! She is rehydrating though. Cindy
