Thank you so much! I'll let you know how she is doing. She had a temp this morning of 100.0 degrees, probably from all the blood loss from the worms and lice. Didn't see any pee or poop at lunch so hopefully her system is getting back to normal. She was so dehydrated I wouldn't doubt is she does pee till tomorrow. Her skin feels like it is stuck to her bones. I stuck her 3 times this morning cause every time I pulled a bit of skin up the needle would go straight through and she doesn't even flinch which worries me a little. i'll keep you posted. Thanks again. Cindy

If you have the Albon or Sulmet 12.5% drinking water solution you use it straight from the bottle at 1 cc per 5 pounds. And no they won't drink it if you add it to their water, it tastes awful! DiMethox also comes as a powder that you reconstitute to make a drinking water solution as well as coming as a cattle injectable. It is 1 package to 3 cups of water and then given at the same dose as the Albon or Sulmet 1 cc per 5 pounds. If using the Dimethox cattle injectable give 1 cc per 40 pounds but give it orally. To treat for coccidia you must treat for 5 consecutive days. If you miss a day start over. Naxcel is given to goats at 1 cc per 50 pounds at least once a day for 5 days (many vets recommend twice day for goats). Give a double first dose called a loading dose. So you would give a 15 pound doeling about 0.3 cc (0.6 for her first dose). Give by SQ injection. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

Possible coccidiosis in my sick sick doeling. Do you drench the sulmet and albon (the package says to add to water, but I don't want to do that - what if they don't drink it?) and they say Di-methox is an injectable IV for cows. Should I just stick with Sulmet or Albon and drench my little one? How much do a give? How much should I make and can it be stored in the frig or make it one serving at a time? Thanks. Also got some Naxcel from the vet for pnemonia, what is the correct dosage for an approx. 10-15 lb doeling. He said to give her 1/2 cc yesterday which we did and the other half on Saturday. It seems to be working because it sounds worse now like everything is breaking up and she is coughing now and then. Cindy
