Thanks for the info- all the does are from the same area we are from so that should be ok. I forgot about moving them-I guess if I want them I better go get 'em. Thanks again! Also thanks for the info on the pygmy/Nigerian Dwarf cross. Cindy

The adults should do fine, they are both tropical breeds. Especially if they are coming from a hot climate. If the kids and does have a place to get out of the sun and into a breeze they should do okay too. You need to move them right away to let them adjust. I don't like to move any doe the last month of pregnancy....Late pregnancy does are in a rather delicate state, moving to a dramatically hotter climate and an unfamiliar place is very stressful. We're looking at purchasing some boer does that are due to deliver in July. And also a pygmy that is due to deliver the first week in July. I have one main concern about it...will it be too hot? They can't regulate their temps very well right? I'm concerned that they could die, it can get up to 106 degrees here for a week or so, at least it did last year. Any advice would be great. My partner wants to purchase at least one or two boers. The other breeder with the pygmy also has others open so I can just get those if my worries are with reason. Thanks! Cindy
