The dose for valbazen for goats is 1 cc per 10 pounds.

Yes you need to give geritol or nutridrench.

we used valbazin and we've wormed him for the second day now and we also gave him a shot of vit. B complex. I gathered this from reading other things, haven't been on this site for a couple days now. Are we on the right track? or do i still need to use the nutridrench or geritol?

This goat is critically ill.

I recommend using Ivomec Injectable for Cattle giving it ORALLY at 1 cc per 25 pounds for 2 to 3 days repeat in 2 weeks for 2 to 3 days. It is very safe you MUST be sure to give enough, you can give 25x the recommended dose and not hurt the goat. Also give Goat Nutridrench, Geritol (use the adult dose) or RedCell for Horses (give half the horse dose) twice a day to get his iron back up. Reworm the does too.

First of all, what wormer did you use and at what rate? How many animals are you running on how many acrage and how long you had them? Reason I ask is because your goats may have a build up of parasites that have developed a resistance to some wormers based upon these factors. Also if you been underdosing your wormer for some time and not getting a high level parasite kill then that also can cause such stubborn parasites. The white lids indicate anemia. He needs some vitamin B-complex right away. I think 3cc/100lbs SQ injection and another one 48 hrs later.
You might be underdosing the wormer or need to use another type. Also with a severe infestation may need to worm mutliple days and repeat in about 14 days.

I've got a 4 year old boer buck who is laying around away from the does a lot. His eye lids are very white and he's losing his hair more than normal shedding. He's also bleating abnormally. We believe it's probably worms. We just wormed him about a week and a half ago and he's not improving. The does were also wormy, but most are improving. Any advice on saving him?
