Can you get a temperature on her? Bloat can be a sign of enterotoxemia. All of the symptoms are right for entero including having too much grain yesterday.

You can use yogurt as a probiotic. Give her 1/4 cup by drench once or twice a day for 3 to 4 days.

Mostly she needs to drink water, she will be okay if she doesn't really start eating until tomorrow.

I do not think worms is causing her current problems. I don't have a great deal of confidence in DE in their feed for parasite control. Look at her lowere inner eyelids, they should be deep rosy or salmon pink. If they are pale pink or white she is anemic from worms. But I would wait until she is feeling better before deworming, at least a couple of days.

I recommend using Ivomec Injectable for Cattle and Swine (or a generic with the active ingredient ivermectin). Give 1 cc per 25 pounds but give it orally. Repeat in 2 weeks.

ok I did get about 2 t baking soda in water down her and some veg oil, i walked her and did rub her belly and stood w her head higher like told to. I will not give her any grain for a couple days, i think she may have eaten too much grain yesterday, that is all I can think of different for her. She has not eaten anything, what if she does not eat any hay or pasture? Also, what is probiotic? does that mean like yogurt? if so, how do I get that down her? she does not seem so bloated now but she still does not seem herself and she is at time still grinding her teeth, the breathing is not as fast and she does not seem to be coughing/sneezing at the moment. I use DE in their feed daily, could this also be that she has worms and that I need to worm her with wormer now too? or should I wait until she seems better? thanks for everyones help, i was so afraid that I would lose her as then happened overnight within 10 hrs she got like this. Diane

I find that vegetable oil works best to break up bloat. This doe is gravely sick, her falling temp indicates shock and her systems are shutting down. Give 1/4 to 1/2 cup vegetable oil using a turkey baster or big syringe, You will have to force her. Do not tip her head back too far, this closes the throat, just hold the nose slightly up when drenching. Then stand her with her front end higher than her back end, like on a slope or stair and deeply massage her left abdomen (this is where the rumen is) to help break up the bubbles trapping the gas. This will help her burp and relieve the bloat. Then drench with the baking soda and water to help with the acidosis.

The diarrhea is often a sign of bloat, acidosis or enterotoxemia (overeater's disease). Give a probiotic for the next few days to replenish her digestive microbes.

No grain for the next few days and start her back on grain slowly after that.

Try to drench her with a baking soda and water mix, she won't like it but it should help. Hope this works for you. There are some other posts that might help also.
