Well, the little doe died today. she was eating and drinking, with no fever, but pneumonia set in her last night we gave her a shot to help combat the pneumonia. We tried everything that we could think of, she is being autopsied at CSU. hope to hear something by monday I will let you all know. Thank you for all your help. I suspect CAE. I would treat for polio to start with. Using Fortified B Complex give 1 cc per 20 pounds by SQ injection every 3 to 4 hours for 3 to 4 injections. You can back off to 4 times a day the next day and 2 to 3 times aday for another week. Check for anemia and diarrhea and treat for coccidia and/or worms if she is anemic or has diarrhea. I just got home from work and found one of our 5 month old kids crawling around on her knees and her back hooves are tucked under her. She was up and fine yesterday. She is not eating a whole lot just laying around. it is like she became very weak all of the sudden. She is not running a temperature. Please help.
