I have a nanny that broke her leg in several places where the bone was sticking through. Me and my husband cleaned it up, gave her antibiotics, and put a cast on it for about 8 weeks. When we went to take the cast off, she had already had it off, and unfortunalty, her hoof was left in the cast. Her leg was somewhat healed and she is walking around with three legs. I am still amazed at the immunity system of that goat, and of her will to live. Since then, she's had a sets of twins and is as perky as ever. Don't give up on your little one.
