My experience is, if you spend a large amount of money on a special breeding buck he will not be fertile until he is 9 months old and can cover only 2 or 3 does each month and can't reach the taller does until he is closer to a year old. If you have a raggedy little mutt buck he is fertile at 6 weeks and can breed everything in site, even through fences regardless of the does size. Dalice
