Not to cause anyone too much concern, but there is a hazard to feeding round bales that the goats can jump up on. A lady on another list lost three of her goats when the bale tipped over and trapped them under it. They suffocated. We use the cattle panel idea and use a rope tied to the panel and looped over a rafter to keep this from happening. If you are feeding outside you can just be sure to tipp over or pull apart the bale when it becomes tipsy.
