OH! These are called scurs! Very common on male goats (even wethers) This will continue to happen but the size may diminish after the goat reaches 2 years or so. All horn growth slows at that age, even scurs. Pygmy goats grow enormous horns. I pretty much consider it a good disbudding job if the scurs are small and the goat knocks them off himself (or herself) Perfect disbudding jobs come only after much practice and getting the job done EARLY! With pygmies that is usually before they are a week old.
