Hi all: hope everyone is having a good summer. Just thought I would share this:

Last year, my Nubian nanny had twins and abandoned them the very minute they were born and never ever had anything to do with them again. We did manage to save them both but it was a long struggle and altho they are healthy, they were somewhat stunted but now seem to be coming into their own.

This year, the ole boot had just one doeling and she is the Perfect Mother. Showed no signs of kidding; I left for about two hours and came home to find this one pretty little doeling, all dried and cleaned, tummy full and Mom fussing like all new mothers should fuss. Go figure!!

I called her "Penny" - she's lucky she wasn't born last year.!!!
