I have seen (and heard) these things happen with my 5 month doelings sine I got them. If one or more is separated too long from mom there is a lot of screaming. So they are smart. Maybe..... the biggest doeling will sometimes get stuck outside the enclosure. Then the screaming really starts, until I come out to "rescue" her. Sometimes she is wedged between two fences. But lately it has been because she (in her mind) was "stuck" behind a rock. or a branch, or a leaf. I swear sometimes she will just stand there looking at a baseball size rock or a two foot branch just laying on the ground in front of her, she won't walk around it, and screams (really screams !) 'till I come out and move the rock or branch. Then she just trots away.
I wonder who is the dumb one ????
