I'm surprised no one has answered your post yet - but then like me, everyone is probably still scratching their head wondering what to say. Well, I suppose there are a few possibilities here - perhaps he got into some bad hay or something? I do know that a week can be either a very long or very short time depending upon the situation. If he had/has some kind a malady that is long term, it could be that he is still just getting over it. Kind of like when a person has a cold - it takes a couple of weeks or more to entirely flush from the system. You still feel kind of worn down and then one day, you suddenly realize that the cold is gone.
I'd still keep a close eye on him and perhaps continue giving him extra special attention such as oranges, grapefruit, apples, etc. His young system is probably still just a bit out of whack and he still needs that extra boost of nutrition or antibiotics to get him over the hump and his antibodies in good order.
