We have a 17 month old Gr. Pyr. female named Lily. She has been doing fine. At first, she was about 5-6 months old when she was given to us, she liked to chase the goats to play, but they were scared to death of her. I kept her in the pen, but tied so she could get used to the goats and they get used to her. This may have been "wrong" but it worked out just like I had hoped. She has been loose with the goats for about 5 months now. She has been fine with the goats during birthing and with the newborns too. The other day when I went out to do chores Lily was out of the pen and so were all the goats. The goats though were all lined up down at the barn, where Lily had them rounded up. I found a place with a pile of Lily's toys she had collected during the night while she stayed with the escaped goats. She had an old plastic bottle, an old boot, and an old pair of ear muffs in a little pile where she had been chewing. The cattle panel fencing had gotten popped off the fence post. I put everyone back in and Lily has stayed in with them since. I am glad we have her.
