I am not sure just what our ratio is on bucks to does this year because we lost so many so early. But both does that had live births this year had bucks, one had twins one had a single. Both of those does had the same thing last year but were doelings. Most of the time we run more does than bucks often times we are in the 80%+ for doelings. Same goes for lambs we had something like 12 lambs this year and only 3 rams. Next year we are hoping to get all ram lambs and would like the majority of kids to be bucks....since it is what we want we probally will get all doelings and ewes. A good friend of mine that breeds big time Paint horses said this about breeding "It's a crap shoot" I think she is right.
