Leah you have the right approach to this and seem to know what you want. Just keep shopping around for what you want and not buying the first one that you see. We do raise fullblood boers and we have percentages as well. We first started with percentages and then bought a fullblood Boer buck and yes there are some out there that are outrageous in price, we where able to find some about 4 hours away and at a fair price with good genetics and bloodlines in them as well. Just keep shopping around, if you are looking into meat goats for seed stock then fullbloods are the way to go but if you are going to raise meat goats to sell for sluaghter then percentage does bred to a fullblood buck works well for us. Good Luck and have fun.
