Thank you Karen!! We started giving him 3 bottles per day and trying to feed some water in between. I am going to p/u some calf electrolites today when I go to town, because he is not liking the water very well (smile)...He seems to be fine, and he was running around playing last night, so that is a good sign..whew..I worry too much..I just hate to see any animal suffer.
As far as the cow goes, I would guess that she is too far along with the infection, As you know I know vertually nothing about full grown cows, and still learning about the calves, but that would be my guess. They moved her on Saturday, and they are going to get rid of her. They have so much cattle that they don't really have the time to mess w/them like that..I know I am probably making them sound like they don't care, and they do not take very good care of their cows, but that is not the case at all they probably have the healthiest cows around ..that is how come we started getting the calves, because that is what my son enjoys doing.
Anyway thank you for your help..I think that little guy is going to be fine, will keep you posted.
Hope you had a great weekend..I am out the door
