Poisonous Plant Research - Cannas

Shadow Valley Soap Dolomite Powder

Hi everyone,

I received an email from a lady asking about a plant called Cannas. Apparently these are ornamental tropical plants that are often planted in flower beds. Anyway, this lady was asking me if they are poisonous. She had not found them listed on any poisonous plant page (neither did I). Considering I checked many poisonous plant databases and researched the plant for any toxic ingredients, I am just curious if any of you have had any experiences with Cannas. Chances are they are not poisonous but I figure it is better to be safe than sorry.

Best regards,

Gary
