My vet recommended BoSe for my babies too when I started with goats. Being the procrastinator that I am I do not give all the kids born the injection. THe only ones that I give BoSe to are the ones born with contracted tendons in the feet, or small weak ones. I don't give it to my adults either and haven't had any problems. I feet a special goat feed that has minerals, including selenium in it and it seems to be good for us. We have no infertility and no problems with the does passing afterbirths, so we are leaving well enough alone. My humble opion, 2 cents, etc.
