the problem w/the cocci prevention in the feed and in the water is that I feel like the little ones do not consume enough feed, or if they are still semi nursing, they do not drink the water. I have a friend who does exactly the same thing as you, she does not do the medicated feed, but she puts it in the water. Also she has a lot of land and moves her heard around all the time. We only have 2 acres..over 1-1/2 go to the goats..but right now they are a little more confined because we are still building..The smaller the area, the more they are at risk for disease.

I am hoping all is ok w/that little guy..maybe I can see him poop today..LOL..
