Well, KoraJean finally gave birth to a big girl late yesterday afternoon. What a day! I spent most of it sitting on the floor in the barn watching her. She had some labor. She was moaning, groaning, quivering....I had never seen anything like it, even in humans. I was so nervous! Finally (after what seemed like an eternity) she started pushing. She pushed for quite awhile. I saw the hooves, but that was it. Figures it's a Sunday afternoon...I started to get very anxious. Then, I remembered what I had read in Karen's post (bless her for writing it). I slowly went in, I kept remember her saying DON"T TAKE YOUR HANDS OFF THAT BODY. I didn't have to go far to find the head turned sideways. Well, once I slipped that around, out she came. Phew! She is quite big, and a real mama's girl. I will try and get a picture today, and maybe Helene will post it. She's a cutey. Her name is Agigail-we will call her Abby. Needless to say, I hope to have a more peaceful, warm Mother's Day next year.
