yes our vet gave us Naxel to give Eris for 5 days I want to say it was. Also gave her and the new kid a tetnus shot, which I am glad he did because, even though goats are not as prone to tetnus as cows are after c-sections, he just felt it was a good precaution.
My father-inlaw lost a cow from tetnus after her c-section. One of the newer vets in the group performed the c-section, and forgot to give the tetnus shot.
Eris was pretty good with being co-operative when Mike was fishing around in there, but I sat in a chair on the other end, holding her head and just hanging on to her, she was screaming, I felt like I was gonna faint (smile) I am sure she was in major pain, but also scared to death. She was a little more relaxed with me there. Last night w/Jessie she was screaming bloody murder, I had my windows closed in the house and I heard her..until Todd went out there and just as long as she saw him close by she was a lot calmer.
