Gary thanks for a well put note and a good reply to the person who contacted you. I also see what you mean about how hard it is to find a good group, I am in several other goat lists and one sheep list. Once you get past the snide comments and retalitory remarks if you are lucky there is some good info. I also find that there is a lot of "My goat is better than your goat" going on. That too gets old, personally I have no use for the mini goats. BUT I do have friends that raise them and really like them, these friends have no use for my large meat goats but that is our perogitive to raise what we want. One list went so far as to yell at me when I asked for help because our LGD was chewing sheep horns and killing and eating my sheep. One person off the list did e-mail and try to help, but it was a private e-mail, I doubt they wanted to get yelled at as well. In fact I went to the sheep list to get the meat withdrawl for Penn. nobody could be bothered to answer the question so I asked here and got an answer the same day. You are also right about the CL thing we should have cure fot it. In fact I never thought about it before but I know a top vet in MI the next time I see him I will see what he has to say. While my herd has not been tested I do believe/hope them to be clear. Anyway thanks for providing a place for us to go to not get yelled at for asking the "dumb questions"
