It is a good thing I went out to the barn early this morning. Our little boar cross we got at the sale barn in Feb. she is probably 2 to 2½ months old. she must be bloated for some reason she was fine last night. this morning when I went into the barn she was standing with her head down and her mouth was foaming her stomach is a little big looking she licked a little baking soda out of my hand and I gave her probably 2-3 ounces of mineral oil, she has walked around some I put hay in the other goats came over to eat she acted like she wanted to but didn't. I don't know what else to do. I hope she comes out of this, this is my son's goat he names beautiful. Now for the update on the doe with the afterbirth trouble, her temp was 102 this morning, she ate grain and I saw her drinking and eat hay again. her baby is still on her but I have been milking her too thought this might help expel the afterbirth, this morning she just have dryed stuff stuck on her the long thing that dryed up yesterday has fallen off. it is strange because she has no bloody looking discharge like the other does have after kidding, just the dried up stuff on her now.
I don't know what to think, no fever yet so maybe she did expel the afterbirth and has eaten it.
Thanks Cindy
