Hi Lila, keep an eye on the kids like you said the kids will get sick if the milk is bad, I just had one that had mastitis and the only way I knew was that both of her kids developed the scours, so I checked out mom and sure enough her bag was hard and she had stringy milk so I treated her with an anitbiotic and it cleared up and the scours went away. Hopefully yours is not mastitis. Usually if not mastitis udder balm works really well for me. Let me know what you think about it after you use it.
