Being away from the mom for half an hour shouldn't be what makes a mom reject her baby. I haven't had any that reject only one kid but I have heard of them doing this. I would make supervised feeding sessions with the doe, holding the kid up their to nurse several times to make sure it is getting enough. I usually express some milk from the teat to make sure there is milk there for the kid and then I try to milk again after the kid has nursed to see if their is still milk left or if it drank it all.
