Hi Dalice, The girl at goat911 said the instructions she gave me was for possible placenta retension and the possibility of ketosis, the vet agreed(but he is not experienced in treating goats, just general med. I think he applies sheep and cattle practices to the goats too.) Hubby and I are getting sooooooooo upset that she is not eating or drinking, clean fresh bedding last night and now no poop this am either, I did see her pee a little last night. We feel like we are tourchering her just to keep her alive but not well. She did pass placenta when she delivered however maby not all of it? Is there an easy way to drench her? She fights it so bad and stresses out on us,we are afraid that we are doing her more harm than good. What else can I do ? I am just about to get on a bad crying jag. ( I am a person who handles a crise well then breaks down and crys after it is all over. )She has not had a temp. thru all of this at least not yet. Her ears were cold to the touch up until last night ,they are a little warmer now, does that mean anything, good or bad???? Feel we should be doing something else but don't know what. How long should it take to see signs of improvement? She is up on her feet more but I am sure the magic is what is giving her the extra stregnth. What else can we do???? Gloria
