sometimes the belly stays tight probally due to the contractions that help expel the afterbirth. If this is the case then when you push on her feel for something about the size and consistancy of a fist. Often that will be the head or hip area. How long has it been since she kidded? Check her gums are they pale like she is stressed, is she eating and drinking? If it has been awhile since she kidded and she is still pushing you may want to consider taking her in. At this point it could be difficult to manually go in and check for babies as there is a time line when the cervex starts to close again. Keep us posted.
