Not sure if you all remember poor old Granny sheep. She went down in the snow and refused to get up so Caleb, Jack (the buthead dog) myself and after awhile goathater, talked her into going to the barn. Anyway Granny has been living in the barn, tied like a dog, when the weather is bad, and in our fenced in yard when it is good. When I went out to grain this am Suffolk (also living in the yard so I can milk her) came up bawling about how she was starving to death and needed food asap. Granny who normally beats her to the fence was nowhere to be seen, I figured after all the hard work we went through to save her the old bat decided to get us and died. NOPE she didn't she was down in the side yard, she seen me comming and got up and ran to the front. At eating time this is just not Granny behavior, so she is now back in the barn so I can watch her as it's finally stopped raining but it is kinda chilly. I just checked her and offered her more corn which she refused and hay also refused, although she is eating straw? She also made it clear that Levi is not to be in the barn, and while I may be there I am not wanted. After a long discussion and alot of chasing I found she has some mucus discharge, so it has taken me like 500 words to tell you all Granny is in labor and it shouldn't be too much longer!!! I will keep you posted.
Now Boer still is holding on to her kids and there is no change. The have dropped and seem to be lining up for the trip out, but it seems for some reason the trip has been delayed. These will be our first Boer or Boer X babies I am so very excited that I check on her all the time. If I could bring myself to not check she would probally give in and have them. Gotta check Granny have a good one
