Hi Dalice,

I think that I can still ship day old birds - I'll have to double check because last September, the USPS' contracted shipper for live animals put some kind of ban on shipping live birds. There was such a large backlash from hatcheries that "I think" they extended their policy but I am just not sure. I haven't shipped any live birds since last year - have had a difficult time meeting the demand for what I have just hatched. Even had a guy that started calling and coming over back in January wanting at least 6 Mallards...he'd come out each week just to see if his eggs had hatched!

The Black East Indies are the ones I would have for you and you mentioned a pair. I just set 4 eggs in the incubator last night as the Indies just started laying. They start laying a bit later than the other ducks - kind of like Guineas. These of course are more expensive ducks than the others - I normally get $8.00 per duck but I'll give you a pair for $15.00. I'll be able to let you know in a month when I can send them since I will have to sex them (hopefully I'll get with these eggs 2 males and 2 females - unless there is another "Call" breed that you want.

Thanks for asking about the Call Ducks. I would rather be selling them to someone who I keep in touch with frequently rather than sell them and never hear about them again. Kind of like my goats I guess!

Best regards,

Gary
