Hi Helene,
I think Karen and Dalice may have the answer - or at least part of it. It could be multiple babies that are taking up more room and she is just feeling too full. One of our goats who usual kids triplets (but this time only twins) was so large that she was having a difficult time standing up. And she is on the smallish side to boot. I'd say about two weeks before she kidded, she became more vocal like she was hungry, but was eating less and less. I could tell she was in some type of discomfort because she would moan and groan alot more than normal. After she kidded, she soon returned to eating as much as she could.
I suppose without really thinking about it, I started giving all the pregnant does as much of the soft mineral blocks as possible - this is the Kow Kalf Kreep blocks listed in the GoatWorld Nutrition section. I think your Tastee-Blend blocks are relatively the same as well. So maybe my doe was getting enough feed supplement from the blocks rather than bulk in fiber and hay - not sure.
Still, you may want to keep an eye on her just in case it is something else as Karen and Dalice mentioned. As long as she is eating at least something instead of nothing at all, that's a good thing. Please keep us posted on her condition and if anything suddenly changes.
Hope all is well in Tennessee. Best regards,
Gary
