Hi Ya'll... sorry I havnt been around much to post. Lambing season at work has come to a close, but we're right in the middle of the calving season (80 beefers) and smack in the middle of college major projects time... ie. looming 15 page research paper..
well, seeing as anything is better then doing papers.. lol I decided to start fencing in a new overgrown brush area. I am going to try a 5 strand electric fence - electric tape and electric twine.
My qestion is: There is a small stand of plum trees in the pasture. Should I be concerned that they will be toxic to the goats? There is other forage avalable... I just remember that pitted fruit is usually toxic in some way???
Hopefully the 5 strand fence holds them well. They have been behaving well with Premeir's Sheep ElectroNet fence.. so hopefully this is cake!
Thanks guys!
p.s. for those who were following Rosie's story (the kid born with a heart defect) she's doing great and is almost ready to be weaned soon. WE may make a Grand Champion of her yet!
