Have any of you ever heard of injecting skim milk into your goat to help heal pinkeye? A friend of mine goes to an old 80 yr. veterinarian that makes some sort of sterile milk injection to give the goats to treat the pinkeye. SOmething about injecting a foreign protein in them makes them make antibodies faster to help heal up the pinkeye. I have noticed that the baby goats have a much lss milder case of pinkeye than the adult goats in my heard. The babies are still on goat milk so I am wondering if the antibodies in the goat milk is helping them or if it is because their immune systems are not as advanced to respond with such severe responses as the white eyes, and copious drainage. I am going to visit this old vet hopefully today and pick his brain. I imagine he will be a wealth of information. Dalice
