Hi Nat, I recently had 3 dogs on my land down by my goats pen 2 ran away the third came up the hill and stood its ground so i shot it. In my area northern AZ. if you any livestock and your land is fenced you are 100% in your right to shoot first.In my area my thought is this my neighbors have alot of dogs and i feel if one of there dogs injured one of my goats that put food on my table and there response could easily be its not my dog when they are held for damages, then if they love there dogs like i love my goats get a peice of rope and tie them up.
