A big "thank you" to Linda for your response to my ammoniun chloride question. It will be much easier in the feed than keeping extra water out with a.c. in it hoping that they get enough.

Also a big "thank you" to Dalice, Karen, & goatmom for responding to my doe in labor question on 2/11...I felt that she was in early stages of labor but with so many comments on here about different problems this year with kidding, I was begining to become concerned for Jimmy , the friend of ours as he is totaly new to goats.

I remember all too well when we started with goats last March,We purchased 2 Boer/Nubian does that were pregnant(due date unknown as they were in the field with the buck all the time).Well we brought the girls home on a Saturday and on Monday at 5a.m. before going to work we went out to the barn to check on the girls. SURPRIZE!!!!!!!!!!!One of the does had one baby out and the twin on the way. The first born we thought to be dead as he laid lifeless, we got him up and warmed him up and got him going. What a morning it was. Here it was late March and a cold spell(5 degrees) hit and I had come down with a fever and the flu.We managed to clean things up,dip and tie the cords all the while I was propped up aganist the fence because I was so sick. What a begining. Sick or not I was hooked on goats. Sorry if I have been rambelling on. Normally I don't talk so much, as you can tell, I don't say much on this forum, however I am grateful for it and for all you nice goat people. God bless you all. Gloria
