Hi Della
I don't have much experiance with Bucks.. Since I lease one when I bred my does, but beleive me everyone eles knows when I bring home a Buck for that purpose..Even my neighbors once told me Sandy we usually don't smell your goats but here latley we can, I just laugh and tell them Mr.Billy is paying a visit and when he leaves so will his smell..If I do breed my does it's always in October and thats the rut season starting time I think.. I can't even sit out on the front porch in peace when hes here. But my friend said she keeps a water spray bottle out by the Buck pens at her house and the ones that get to aggressive when she goes around them she sprays them in the face with the water and they don't stick around for a second spraying. Her's hate to be sprayed in the face and will stay a good distance away onced sprayed.. But I think I would have to try this the first time on the outside of the fence to make sure it worked before I was close enough to possible get hurt if it just made him more pissed off, know what I mean.. Be careful... Sandy & Kids :)
