What I think we are going to do is build a seperate pen in the goat house for any new babies..so he can be there to watch and make sure everything is ok..and he can't hurt them just in case. We did that last year when we had the 4 new kids last summer. We didn't put them out w/the dog until we thought they were big enough. Princess was always smaller than the others, and like I said, her mom just one day upped and rejected her. So I really think there was a problem with her..Although I would like the chance to try and save them and make the choice, not let the dog do it. I was really aggrivated and almost got rid of the dog. I am glad we didn't though.
I do intend on watching things closely, he also still is a pup and I dont want any rough playing..atleast if he tries to play rough w/one of the goats now, our buck will take care of him w/one good nudge..
