LOL. Up until this year we called it terrist season, after the whole Sept.11 thing I felt it was probally in bad taste to do so. Also up here tourist season is more teenagers from Chicago in fancy little sports jobs. Ever try to stop a one ton duelly loaded with 6 round bales or loaded with a full 16' stock trailer before you hit one of those fancy little throw away cars??? It's nerve wracking!! Now granted I am sure that it's our fault after all a one ton truck with a ten tone paintjob and all the lights with a 16' or 18' trailer is hard to see, but we have yet to figure out how to make it more noticeable. As for the hay we payed a max of $2.75 delivered and stacked this year, goathater would never pay $6 for goat hay I doubt he would for horses either. SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK.... We are still planning on moving but I think Floriday is out, we are looking @ Kentucky or Tennesee area, maybe out west (goathater would like that). At the current rate of my goat bussiness we won't have to worry about moving them. This is a terrible year. Paint is gone now. She went down with milk fever type symptoms I treated her and figured she would be dead or alive when we got back today, she died before we left. I still haven't told goathater he gets down on goats on a good day let alone a really bad year. I am not sure how ET is, she was still rattleing on Sat. and when I left it was with the same bad attitude she will either be dead or alive, I havent the nerve to check. The crazy thing is part of this can be attributed to bad feeding, or not the right sort of feeding , so I make the changes now they die? We used to buy and sell all the time. Most of the goats we got were almost dead, sick thin wormy no doubt and we had very few problems. Now that I have a goal and am trying my best goats are dying left and right. I am so over raising goats, at least until the babies start to come...then my case of goat poisoning seems to cure it'self. Anyway time to cowboy up and check on ET......
