Don't feel bad..because really neither am I. I don't even go over by them that much..Only if I have to. My husband and son decided that they wanted to do this around Thanks Giving when my husband's uncle had some calves that needed rescuing. So my poor goats suffer because they now have less of an area..We finish the fencing, the problem is we need to go behind and fix the fence seperating our property from our neighbors..They have some poor fencing there with holes, and if we let the goats out w/the calves..they will find those holes..Mike spent so much money getting ready for the calves..that the fence repair is going to have to wait until spring. So we have only 2 acres..we occupy may 1/4 of it..or less..for our house and front and back yard..the rest is for the animals..The goats have maybe about 1/2 acre and the calves have about 1 acre..
We are only keeping the calves until maybe late spring or early summer then they go back..Then it will be time for more! They are just not goats you know what I mean..You can bottle feed them all you want..but they never tame..they are cute..but they just don't have the personalities the goats have..
