I am something of a nurotic dieter once I get started. The part I will tell you that works for me is to drink lots of water then drink more water. It fills you up and no calories. I start then by cutting my meals in half and half again. Always be on the move the more active you are the faster your metabilism gets, the more you burn calories and fat. Don't think you have to run 10 miles a day to do this. If you normally walk to the barn twice a day walk down 3 or 4 times. If you feel you need candy eat it. DON'T ignore your cravings this will only cause you to binge and thats worse. I find that if I want chocolate and I eat 1/2 a cookie instead of 3 cookies my craveing is still satisfyed. If you have to eat fast food get the burgers w/o all the dressings instead put fat free ranch on it or go w/o. Get a kids meal instead of a large adults meal or get the medium adults meal then work your way down to the happy meal size. Try to stay away from things like coffee and sodas wasted calories and the caffine is a diaretic you loose more water than you take in and this is a bad thing. Also eat 5 or so meals a day not 3 big ones your body will burn the calories more efficantly. Eat only until you are satisfied not until you are full. Before your meals have a 8oz glass of COLD water, this will make you think you are full. The colder the water the better. Your body will burn calories trying to warm itself up after injesting the ice water. Good luck. Any questions feel free to ask. Also a good multivitam would be a good thing to take, and check w/a doctor first. Just because it works for me doesn't mean it will work or be good for you.
PS. sometimes an orange will take the place of a candy bar if you need sugar.
