Mountain Laural, Rhodenderon... Rhubarb... Japanese Yew...

Well Said Nat: I will quote you because this needs repeating, "As a general rule of thumb.. It doesn’t matter if it’s a good plant, bad one, expensive one, neighbors one, or anything else, if they can reach it, its 0-to-rumen in less then 60 seconds :-)"....!!! A lot of the time I just read and do not post cause most of the people in this forum are so much better with words than I am.

Japanese Yew - sort of looks like an evergreen but the leaves are a bit wider, flatter and very bright waxed green with scattered small fleshy looking red berries. It is deadly and only takes a couple of the tiny leaves in the rumen.
The second dairy I worked at a real fancy Grade A Saanen dairy in Calif (I say this cause the poor lady had this real fancy graden with a lot of spendy ornamentals) long years ago and she had a darn good goat vet. Necropsies showed only one or two small green leaves in some of the girls rumens that took longer to die. The ones that eat more died quickly but not painlessly. It was one of the worst things I have ever seen. ~Nita
