Part of the problem is I am no longer working and my new stay at home job is taking longer to work out than expected. My husband on the other hand is a farrier and does well so he always has $. I just hate to ask for it, some of that is foolish pride and some is I hate the thought that he is paying for his own gift. Also I like the idea of getting him a goat but the only goat he would like is one already freezer packed, since I have nothing freezer ready thats out. I did manage to sneak a book off e-bay for him, I had a friend bid on it and got almost enough to pay for it : ). My only other gift is a saddle pad for his horse. He doesn't ride much anymore (to busy ridding rodeo bucking stock) but he has a very nice saddle and a yucky saddle pad. So I am making him a new one w/real sheepskin, handwoven fabric and handtooled wearleathers on the sides and top. Maybe he will get a suede shirt he likes western type stuff. Thanks for letting me vent. Oh I know what you mean about not getting what you want. When I was growing up there was 5 kids toys were far and few between clothes were what we got. And, my Mom used to buy me girly type clothes not bad unless your a tom boy, which I am. Anyway my children have told me they are going to starve to death if I don't feed them soon, growning boys ya know. Have a good one.
