So the loose minerals you bought were already mixed right?

I have been looking in the Natural Goat Care book which gives a recipe for loose minerals, I was just saying to my husband I wonder where to get all of this stuff from. He seems to think there is a feed mill locally that will also mix feed for us as well. I am going to check it out, but until then, I will see what I can find in the lines of loose minerals that you are talking about. I seem to remember Gary saying the same thing about the lick, that they do not get enough of it..When we first got it the goats would nibble on it alot, but not much now..I know they are not getting what they need. They will eat the bark off the trees on occasion, which is if I remember correctly showing signs of copper deficiency. Also I think the colds would die down some if they were getting all of the vitamines and minerals that they need.
