First, Congratulations on your new little ones!
Do they eat any of the feed at all? Did their former owner perhaps leave feed out all the time so they don't tend to vacuum it up as soon as they see it? Do they at least pick out the pieces of their former feed?
How much did their former owner feed them?
With their new environment and perhaps new hay, too and pasture, they may need some Probios or free choice baking soda to help their rumen and bring back their appetite if it is off.
Now to the medicated feed. I don't feed any medicated feed myself-fecals should tell you if they need worming, etc.,then treat for the specific condition. But if they do start eating the mixed feed, it shouldn't be a big deal to wait till it's all used up to switch to the next (unmedicated) feed. I always mix, myself, to make it easier when changing feeds-when I get close to the bottom of the trash can, I pour it into an empty grain bag, pour 1/3 a bag of the new feed into the can, and mix the rest with more and more of the "old feed" as it gets closer to the top where it will get scooped up first. By the time you get to the bottom, they're on their new feed completely.
Please keep us posted!
