Thanks to everyone who sent such a warm welcome to the world of goats! Today was even better than yesterday as I got to spend a lot of time this morning just observing their individual behavior. I can already tell who is the dominant goat. So funny how they have their own little hierarchy!

I was also able to tell that one of my does was in standing heat today. She was drippy and flagging her tail a lot. Oh, where is a buck now when I need one? :o) I think I'll wait another few weeks to let them settle in before I try to breed, though. But I sure am anxious to have my first kids! I can't wait until the whole pasture is full of goats! I'm sure I won't have long to wait...LOL.
