Gary, tell me more about those fainting goats. We almost got some when we got our first goats, but we did not have a Great Pyr or anything to guard our goats at the time and we were afraid of dog attacks.

I think a lot of what you are saying not only depends on how they were raised but the breed. I find that the LaMancha's and the Neubians make for better pets. We have had a lot of good luck w/Boers, but I know of a few that would not take a boer as a pet.
